Aihki x Shii Collaborative Dinner II
The first Aihki x Shii collaborative dinner in January 2026 sold out exceptionally quickly and received high praise from its guests. Due to the strong interest and warm reception, we are delighted to invite guests once again to experience this unique culinary collaboration.
On Easter Sunday, 5 April 2026, Restaurant Aihki will host Aihki x Shii Collaborative Dinner II, bringing together Aihki’s kitchen and Helsinki-based omakase restaurant SHII for the second time. This time, the dinner is shaped by the light of spring and the calm, festive atmosphere of the Easter holiday, offering guests a moment to slow down, gather, and enjoy a thoughtfully composed culinary journey.
Behind the collaboration are Anssi Riihimäki, Director of Restaurant Operations at Aihki, together with his team, and Nadim Nasser, owner and head chef of SHII. Their shared vision forms a cohesive, carefully curated, and immersive dining experience.
What does omakase mean?
Omakase is a Japanese dining philosophy that loosely translates as “I'll leave it to you.” At its core is trust: the chef creates the evening’s dishes based on the season, the finest moments of each ingredient, and their own creative vision.
Guest Chef
The evening welcomes Chef Nadim Nasser, owner and head chef of Helsinki-based omakase restaurant SHII. SHII is known for its intimate and meticulously crafted omakase experience, where modern Japanese cuisine meets European and Japanese ingredients in subtle balance.
Nadim Nasser brings with him SHII’s philosophy: finely honed craftsmanship, aesthetic clarity, and deep respect for every flavour. During the dinner, guests will experience moments where taste, form, and emotion come together into a truly memorable experience.
Easter at Pyhä
The collaborative dinner is a natural part of an Easter holiday in Pyhä, offering an opportunity to combine a gastronomic experience with a peaceful late winter escape in the fell landscape. The dinner suits both as the highlight of a holiday stay and as a special way to celebrate Easter.
