Stay in the original heart of Sunday Morning Resort, where the story of our resort first began. Built from hand-hewn old-growth pine logs, the timeless Main Lodge offers an intimate boutique hotel experience with just five Deluxe Hotel Rooms, creating a peaceful atmosphere that feels personal, unhurried, and connected to nature.

Each room is approximately 30 m² and accommodates up to three guests. Views overlook the tranquil waters of Lake Pyhäjärvi, while the spa-inspired bathroom with its luxurious steam shower provides the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the surrounding wilderness. Premium beds, natural materials, and modern comforts ensure a relaxing stay in every season. Four rooms feature a warm, darker wood interior, while one offers a lighter Scandinavian wood style.

Everything is just a few steps away. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, spend the day discovering Pyhä-Luosto National Park or the lakeshore, then return for dinner at Restaurant Aihki, a quiet evening by the Main Lodge fireplace, or a relaxing sauna session.

The interiors blend contemporary comfort with Finnish craftsmanship. Original woven poppana textiles by Finnish artist Annikki Karvinen have been carefully preserved, while handcrafted Staalo antler light fixtures by local artisan Ari Kangasniemi add a distinctive northern character. Together with timeless Scandinavian design, these details create a warm and authentic atmosphere.

Completed in 1990 on the shores of Lake Pyhäjärvi, the Main Lodge was originally built as part of Aamulehti's seven-building lakeside retreat. Its handcrafted log construction, locally created artwork, and preserved original details celebrate the traditions of northern Finnish craftsmanship, while thoughtful modernisation and sustainable energy solutions ensure today's comfort without compromising its heritage.
