Before the snow arrives and the sleds take to the winter trails, the huskies are already getting ready for the season ahead. This autumn, guests staying with Sunday Morning Collection can join them.

Autumn is an important training season for huskies in Lapland. As the days grow cooler, the dogs return to regular exercise, building their fitness and preparing for the winter months ahead.

Together with Pyhä Husky Farm, we invite you to see this quieter side of husky life. During the visit, you will meet the dogs, learn more about their everyday life and training, and join them for a cart ride through the autumn surroundings.

Before the snow arrives

Husky experiences are often associated with snowy trails and winter safaris, but the work begins long before the first proper snowfall.

In autumn, training takes place with wheeled carts instead of sleds. It is part of the dogs’ regular preparation for winter and gives you a chance to experience the energy of a working husky team in a very different season.

The farm is also quieter at this time of year. There is more time to meet the dogs, get to know their different personalities and see what life at a husky farm looks like before winter begins.

You might even leave knowing a few of the team by name.
