Our Story: Sunday Morning Collection

Experience Pyhä is now Sunday Morning Collection. This change is a return to where it all began – by the shores of Lake Pyhäjärvi at Sunday Morning Resort. The new name reflects both our roots and our growth, bringing together everything we have built over the years.

Sunday Morning Collection was born from a love for the pure nature of Lapland and the desire to share its peace with others. At the heart of everything we do lies warm Lappish hospitality – so that every morning can feel as cozy as a Sunday morning.

Roots by the lake

Our story began when entrepreneurs Sirpa and Kimmo Loippo fulfilled their dream of living in the fells. The old Pyhäaamu villa, once owned by the newspaper Aamulehti, was transformed through an extensive renovation into Sunday Morning Resort – a carbon-neutral boutique hotel where Lappish craftsmanship, modern design, and the serenity of nature meet.

The spirit of the Resort, the calm and authenticity of a Sunday morning, became the foundation for Sunday Morning Collection.

Years of growth

Alongside the original Resort, we have built Parkside Pyhä Ski-In & Ski-Out Holiday Apartments right at the gateway to the national park. Our restaurant Aihki has grown into one of Lapland’s most exciting dining destinations, where North-Scandinavian cuisine meets local ingredients. And our latest addition, the Aamu Suites, combine the magic of Lapland with modern comfort, offering guests the chance to watch the Northern Lights from the comfort of their own bed.

A collection of experiences

With this brand renewal, we wanted to bring clarity to our offering. Sunday Morning Collection unites our accommodations, activities, and dining experiences – giving our guests the opportunity to combine them seamlessly, no matter where they stay.

At the same time, we continue as a forerunner in sustainable tourism: developing carbon-neutral accommodation and dining solutions, investing in electric mobility and safari services, and committing to sustainable practices that have earned us the Sustainable Travel Finland certificate.

Looking ahead

Sunday Morning Collection is a tribute to our original vision: to create places and experiences that bring people closer to nature, to one another, and to themselves. We exist so that the pristine beauty of the national park, its peace, sense of belonging, and quiet wonder, can touch more and more people.
